    Building permits in Australia decreased a seasonally adjusted 6.90 percent in August of 2015, following an upwardly revised of 7.9 percent rise in a month earlier. Total dwelling units approved in August fell 6.9 percent to 18,701 units from a 7.9 percent rise in the previous month. Private sector house rose 4.9 percent to 9,765 units, from a 3.5 percent fall in July. Private sector dwellings excluding houses fell 11.4 percent to 8,760 units, following a 14.6 percent rise in the preceding month. Building Permits in Australia averaged 0.36 percent from 1983 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 32.30 percent in May of 2012 and a record low of -23.91 percent in July of 2012.
