    Retail Sales in Australia increased by 0.40 percent in August of 2015 over the previous month, following a 0.1 percent drop in July and 0.6 percent rise in June. By industry, food retailing rose 0.6 percent, household goods retailing (+0.2 percent), department stores (+1.3 percent), other retailing (+1.3 percent). In contrast, clothing, footwear and personal accessory retailing was down by 1.4 percent and cafes, restaurants and takeaway food services fell by 0.3 percent. By region, sales were led by New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. Retail Sales MoM in Australia averaged 0.49 percent from 1982 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 8.10 percent in June of 2000 and a record low of -10.60 percent in July of 2000.
