    Outlook: US data today might encourage a less gloomy mood. The University of Michigan preliminary consumer sentiment index is expected to rise to 92.5 in Feb from 92 in Jan. Also, retail sales are expected up 0.2% m/m. But the problem is not that economic data indicate a looming recession. It doesn’t.
