FXStreet (Delhi) – Research Team at Societe Generale, suggest that in today’s session, investors will be busy as minutes of September FOMC will be released in addition to the US jobless claims data which will be followed by the speeches from Fed members.

    Key Quotes

“Minutes of the September FOMC meeting may provide insight into just how close of a call it was to delay liftoff. Of special interest will be the Committee’s assessment of the slowdown in China and potential spillover effects to the U.S.”

“Furthermore, the first unemployment insurance data since last week’s dreadful employment situation report will be released today. Staying at healthy levels, we expect initial claims to decline to 260K and continuing claims to fall to 2160K, giving us more evidence to believe that the soft employment numbers were merely transitory.”

“In Fed speak, current FOMC member Williams (San Francisco) will speak on the economic outlook and monetary policy, as will Bullard (St. Louis) who will vote in 2016 and Kocherlakota (Minneapolis).”
