Earlier today, UK’s daily, the Sun reported a story claiming the Queen is backing Brexit:

The queen left no room for doubt about her passionate feelings over Europe

EU heading in the wrong direction

However, the rumours were quickly rubbished by the UK’s former deputy PM Nick Clegg, "This is nonsense. I've no recollection of this happening, and it's not the sort of thing I would forget."

Buckingham Palace also denied the story, saying: "The Queen remains politically neutral, as she has for 63 years. We would never comment on spurious, anonymously sourced claims.

“The referendum will be a matter for the British people.”
