    City regulator proposes delaying the release of research by banks working on the IPO until after the prospectus is published

    The Financial Conduct Authority has proposed a shakeup in the market for initial public offerings (IPOs) as part of a clampdown on anti-competitive practices in investment banking.

    The City regulator said investors and analysts should have timely, high-quality information when a company sells shares to investors for the first time.
