FXStreet (Mumbai) - As Reuters reports quoting Shana, Iran also clarified that they haven’t received any requests for an emergency OPEC meeting following latest price drop.

On Tuesday, the Nigerian minister for Petroleum resources and OPEC President Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu said that he expects an extraordinary meeting in early March to address the problem of low oil prices.

However, the comments from Kachikwu were shortly dismissed by the UAE Energy Minister Suhail al-Mazrouei, saying that, “I am not convinced that Opec solely, unilaterally can change the strategy just because we have seen the low in the market.”
