    Japan recorded a current account surplus of 1653.10 JPY Billion in August of 2015, down from 1808.60 JPY Billion in July but significantly up from 249.4 JPY Billion in August 2014. It is the 14th straight month of surpluses as weak yen boosted income from overseas investments and exports. Current Account in Japan averaged 1060.75 JPY Billion from 1985 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 3360.40 JPY Billion in March of 2007 and a record low of -1586.10 JPY Billion in January of 2014. Current Account in Japan is reported by the Ministry of Finance Japan. Current Account is the sum of the balance of trade (exports minus imports of goods and services), net factor income (such as interest and dividends) and net transfer payments (such as foreign aid).
