    Industrial production in Japan unexpectedly dropped by 0.5 percent in August of 2015, following a 0.8 percent fall in the previous month, the second straight month of a decline. Industries that mainly contributed to the decrease include general-purpose, production and business oriented machinery; electrical machinery and transport equipment. Industrial Production Mom in Japan averaged 0.42 percent from 1953 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 6.80 percent in May of 2011 and a record low of -16.50 percent in March of 2011.
