    Leading Economic Index in Japan decreased to 103.50 Index Points in August from 105 Index Points in July of 2015. Leading Economic Index in Japan averaged 96.92 Index Points from 1985 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 112.80 Index Points in April of 2006 and a record low of 74.80 Index Points in February of 2009. Leading Economic Index in Japan is reported by the Cabinet Office, Japan. In Japan, the Leading Composite Index consists of 12 indexes such as account inventory ratios, machinery orders, stock prices and other leading economic indicators. The index anticipates changes in the direction of the Japanese economy in the coming months. Reading above 50 is seen as positive and below 50 is seen as negative.
