    New orders for US manufactured durable goods fell 2.3 percent in August from July, 2 percent in August from July, the first drop in three months and following a downwardly revised 1.9 percent increase in the previous period. Durable goods orders for September had been previously reported as falling by 2 percent. Durable Goods Orders in the United States averaged 0.35 percent from 1992 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 23.80 percent in July of 2014 and a record low of -19.40 percent in August of 2014.
