    Housing starts in the US unexpectedly declined by 3.8% in January 2016 to come in at a three-month low of 1,099,000 annualized units. This built on a revised 2.8% drop in December 2015 to 1,143,000 units (initially reported as a 2.5% dip to 1,149,000) and further retraced the 9.8% increase[​IMG]
